On Saturday, April 26 many of the students will be performing at the 2014 Jazz Concert. It will be held at First Baptist Powell at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5.00 per person. Send cash or a check made out to "Powell Band Boosters" in an envelope labeled "Jazz Concert" and the student's name, and place it in the box in the band room. Please let Lori Harrell know if you would like to donate a dessert for this event. We hope you will come enjoy some sweet treats and some amazing jazz music by our incredible band students!
2014 BAND BANQUET
This year's Band Banquet will be Saturday, May 3 at 6:00 at the Jubilee Banquet Facility. This is for all band members and their families. The menu will be: BBQ pork, chicken fingers, veggies, salad, bread, drinks, and ice cream sundae bar. The cost is $25 per person, and senior band members are free. Please fill out the reservation form at the bottom of this page, and return it with payment no later than Thursday, April 17. Make checks payable to "Powell Band Boosters." We also need one baby picture and one senior or recent picture of each senior for the slideshow that will be presented at the banquet. Please put these in an envelope labeled "senior pictures" and put them in the black box in the band room, or email them to email@example.com. The deadline to turn in pictures is also April 17. We hope that many of you will be able to attend this fun event as we celebrate our seniors and another successful year.
Bruster's Coupon Book Fundraiser
The band is still selling Bruster's Ice Cream Booster Coupons. Each book of coupons costs $15.00 and includes 2-$2.00 off an ice cream cake and 10-buy one get one free single, double, or triple scoop in a cup or cone (including waffle cones). The band will make $7.50 from each book that is sold. All of the money will go to the general booster account.
Below you will find the order form with the information on it. This sale will be handled similar to the Knox County School Coupon Book sale. Students will record orders on the form and send in the money to the band room. Please be sure to put the money and forms in an envelope with the student's name on it. Coupon books will be sent home with the students within the next two days after the forms are received. Payment does not have to be with just one check as the Coke sale was. Friends and family who buy the coupon books can send cash or checks made out to "Powell Band Boosters." Students may continue to send in orders throughout the month of March.
The next booster meeting will be Monday, April 28 at 6:30. This will be a very important meeting as we will be voting on next year's officers. At our March meeting the following people were nominated: David and Lori Harrell (Co- Presidents), Eddie Akers (Vice President), Amanda VanBuren (Secretary), Samantha Redman (Treasurer). Please make plans to attend and be part of the voting process.

2012 Stone Memorial Band Invitational
The Powell High School Marching Panther Band brought home the Grand Championship from the Stone Memorial Invitational on October 13, 2012! They won 1st Place in Drum Major, Guard, Percussion and Band in their division along with Champions in these categories as well. They did an awesome job! 2013 Vanderbilt Marching Invitational
Way to go Powell High School Marching Panther Band! Superior rating in: Percussion, Color Guard, Band, and Field Commander. First Place in Class B, Large Division. Most Spirited Band Boosters. We had a lot to cheer about! We are so proud of our band!
2012 Knight Tournament of Bands
The mighty Powell High School Marching Panther Band won 1st Place in their division and brought home the Grand Champions trophy from the 2012 Knight Tournament of Bands! Congratulations to the kids, band directors and staff on a great performance!
